Dr. Christopher Yeaw was recently appointed as a federal advisor on the Defense Programs Advisory Committee (DPAC). As a special government employee, Dr. Yeaw will provide advice and recommendations about scientific, technical and programmatic issues relating to the stewardship and maintenance of the nation’s nuclear deterrent, and where appropriate, analysis of issues of broader concern to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). DPAC reports to the NNSA’s Deputy Administrator, Office of Defense Programs (DP), to provide expert advice in the fields of nuclear physics and weapons design, engineering development and program management in support of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile and infrastructure.
