Director for Prophylactics & Therapeutics

This position reports to the Associate Executive Director for CWMD Allied Programs (AED-CAP). It will lead and execute research projects and contribute to technical capability areas aligned with the strategic direction set by the AED-CAP and Medical Countermeasures Research Director, supporting planning and overseeing research efforts intended to develop therapeutics and pre-exposure prophylactics to counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive threat sequelae for the Department of War (DOW) and other federal customers.

Electrical Engineer

This position role supports NSRI research and development at the Melbourne, Florida office, working with a multidisciplinary team to design, integrate, and test electronic systems; perform laboratory measurements and instrumentation setup; calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; support data acquisition activities; analyze technical data; and prepare accurate documentation, records, and reports. The engineer will also assist with system validation under controlled test conditions and contribute to technical meetings and project updates as needed.

Field Team Lead

This role leads a two‑person overseas deployment team and serves as NSRI’s senior in‑country representative, coordinating mission activities, logistics, and daily operations for specialized sensing systems. Key responsibilities include overseeing system installation and operation, guiding the RF Field Scientist, maintaining equipment and personnel accountability, delivering mission updates and briefings, ensuring safety and security compliance, managing relationships with U.S. Government, military, and Embassy partners, and operating independently in dynamic, austere environments.

Radio Frequency Field Scientist

This role supports overseas deployments as part of a two‑person field team responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialized RF sensing systems. The RF Field Scientist serves as the primary technical expert, performing calibration, diagnostics, repairs, system verification, and technical data management while working independently in demanding environments. Additional duties include supporting mission planning, maintaining equipment accountability, ensuring safety and security compliance, elevating unresolved technical issues, and representing NSRI professionally when working with U.S. Government and partner organizations.
