Selection Process

NSRI projects fall under the University of Nebraska System Collaboration Initiative in the preliminary data and application preparation grant category.

Within this category, reviewers are asked to rate applications to determine the potential for the PI/Co-PIs to build research teams that will actively seek and ultimately receive extramural funding.

Applications are also reviewed by the NSRI science and technology advisory council. Final funding decisions are made by the NU Executive Vice President and Provost and NU Vice Provost.
