Considered a very elite program, student fellows are selected through a highly competitive process, chosen because of their demonstrated leadership skills, effective contributions to the command missions, and potential for increased leadership responsibilities at USSTRATCOM and within the DoD. Class size is limited to 10 students which encourages interaction and intensive leadership development.
The program syllabus is tailored toward subjects of importance to USSTRATCOM’s mission areas. Faculty and lecturers are world-class national security and defense experts within the University of Nebraska as well as other universities in areas including counterproliferation, counterterrorism, response to chemical and biological attacks, and cyber and space law.
