The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) office and the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense(JPEO-CBRND)share the mission to prevent and respond to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
On 2 Dec 2019, the JPEO-CBRND, DHS CWMD, and DHS S&T established a CWMD Alliance with the goal to share and leverage programs and activities that will create, transition, and employ common capabilities across the shared operational mission space.
In support of this mission and the goals of the CWMD Alliance, a Discovery Workshop will be held with JPEO-CBRND, DHS, and other stakeholders to discuss methodologies, capabilities, and plans for developing and fielding Chemical Detection equipment and systems.
To provide a forum for information exchange to facilitate opportunities for collaboration in the area of developing and fielding Chemical Detection equipment and systems.

The Chemical Detection Discovery Workshop will be UNCLASSIFIED and passing your security clearance is not required. However, all visitors must have their Security Representative send in a visit request ahead of time preferably through JPAS SMO Code 7QDJ75, password protected email or by fax at 240-290-1317.
